Dr Mark Sayer – Red Box Wildlife Shelter and Veterinary Centre Ambassador

Dr Mark Sayer | B.V.Sc MBA MMktg(Pub. Relations) MCom MPAF | Senior Veterinary Surgeon and Director NSWV3255

Dr Mark graduated from Sydney University in 1983.

After working in clinics around Sydney he moved to central NSW where he and his lovely wife Jaimie started to rescue, raise, rehabilitate and release Eastern Grey Kangaroos whilst raising a family and running several veterinary clinics.

Dr Mark’s passion for wildlife lead him to study Veterinary Chiropractic training in Germany, advanced macropod medicine and develop his surgical and medical skills with marsupials with orthopaedics being an area of strength and knowledge.

With 7 beautiful children to raise and several successful vet practices to oversee, he still finds time to referee real football (soccer), work on his golf swing and is a qualified referee for the A-League.
Dr Mark absolutely loves flying as he has is pilots licence and enjoys the freedom of travel it brings.

Dr Mark and his wife reached out to RBWS several years ago to simply compliment us on the way we operate. That started a wonderful friendship and the journey to create a treatment room in central Victoria where wildlife can receive free treatment.

Currently Dr Mark visits the shelter every 4-6 weeks to offer his services pro bono and this is made possible by our donors and grants which have helped create a fully functional pop up vet clinic.

We are grateful to Dr Mark for his ongoing support and for the dedication he offers Red Box Wildlife Shelter and animals everywhere.
